Emily LaceyStudio Owner, Director, Ballet Mistress, Head InstructorWith 28 years of experience, Emily Lacey specializes in teaching classical ballet technique and choreography. Emily grew up on the coast of Virginia, began dancing at the age of two, and her passion for dance has flourished into her adult years. Throughout her life, Emily has trained with many influential dance masters in the Arts Industry such as Gennadi Vostrikov (Vostrikov's Academy of Dance), Sandra Ballestracci (American Youth Ballet Company), Marilyn Cloutier (Triple Threat Performing Arts Academy), Deborah Diggs (Bayside Youth Ballet Company), Heidrun Robitshek (Virginia Regional Ballet), Daniel Baudendistel (Ballet Arizona), Marcus Bugler (Nevada Ballet Theatre), Melissa Coyle (University of North Carolina at Charlotte), and others. She has performed as a soloist in several classical ballets such as Paquita, Les Sylphides, and the Nutcracker, to name a few. She also began acting at a young age and began choreographing for her local musical theatre group during her teenage years. In addition to being the Owner and Director of L.C.A., Emily is also the Founder and Director of Lacey Dance Company, an audition-based company for adults that she founded in 2014 which fuses classical ballet with other styles of dance to create intricate, unique pieces of moving art. Lacey Dance Company is now the resident professional performance company at L.C.A.! Emily also directs the North Carolina Youth Ballet Company for students under 18 years of age who want to gain pre-professional experience and performance opportunities.

Taylor CuddOffice Manager, Front Desk ReceptionistTaylor Cudd is a resident of Kings Mountain, NC and a mother of two dancers at Le Croix Academy. Taylor studied at North Carolina State University after graduating from Kings Mountain High School. She has an easy-going manner and enjoys creating a calm, safe environment in the front lobby for students and parents alike. With both of her children enrolled at Le Croix Academy of the Performing Arts, she has invested herself in helping advance the love of dance and the Arts in all of our students. Her main responsibilities at L.C.A. include lobby safety, student sign in and tracking of attendance, scheduling trial classes for new families, the organization of student files and other clerical tasks, and greeting parents of new and returning students upon entry. Taylor also has three years of learning to communicate through American Sign Language and plans to return to school for her ASL Interpreter’s Certification.
